Literary agents are not required for submissions to Big House Press.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:
To submit for BHP publishing consideration, please provide all of the following:
1 – First three chapters of your book (Times New Roman font 12, double-spaced in manuscript form, and pages numbered at bottom)
2 – Cover letter with your contact information including email
3 – One paragraph (1/2 page) biography including writing experience and educational credentials
4 – One page synopsis summarizing what your book is about
5 – One paragraph (1/2 page) on who your target audience is and your thoughts on how best route to reach them
If you are submitting a children’s book with illustrations or any book that will include images, please include three of the images that you plan to use in your book. Please confirm in writing that you own or have the rights to any and all images you would like to use in your book.
Please type your name, address, phone number and email at the top of your first chapter. Under this, please list the number of pages and words in your full manuscript, and whether or not your full manuscipt is complete by listing, "Manuscript Finished & Ready" or "Manuscript Not Yet Complete."
